"When a new version of a standard-setting product is about to be released, the questions are predictable. They essentially fall into two camps. In terms of excitement, we wonder what fabulous new features it will offer that we didn't know we couldn't live without. In the more pragmatic sense – in which our expectations have been tempered by experience – we can't help but wonder how it will disappoint. In this case, we wonder what the Apple iPhone 5 will lack that we think it ought to have to be the world-beater we want it to be.
It's nearly unthinkable to be able to review a smartphone that doesn't have any room for improvement, but that's nearly the case for the iPhone 5. Apple has elegantly added the key features that we felt were shortfalls of the iPhone 4S, while making the storied design even better and putting it all in a thinner, lighter package than ever before. That's not to say that the newest iPhone is perfect in every way or that there isn't room for preferences to the contrary, but the answer to the question, "Is this the best iPhone yet?" is a resounding "Yes." We'll go so far as to say that, for a large number of smartphone users, it is indeed the best one to date. We have no reservations about choosing the Apple iPhone 5 as our TopTenREVIEWS Gold Award recipient.

The updated design is externally noticeable, but not to an extent that would make adjusting to them difficult. In the U.S., the device is available from the three largest wireless carriers: Verizon Wireless, AT&T and Sprint. Each has its advantages, so the best choice depends on your individual needs and the area in which you're most likely to use the phone. Regardless of the carrier, the iPhone 5 is a world phone that will function seamlessly in most regions around the globe, regardless of whether GSM or CDMA is used locally."

"Smartphones have arguably made a greater impact on the lives people in every walk of life than any other invention in recent history. For the last couple of years, the Samsung's Galaxy S series has been consistently among the best Android devices. The Samsung Galaxy S III is the newest and best iteration of this line to date and must be counted among the best smartphones on the market. For its excellent application of current hardware and software capabilities plus overall quality and usability, we have awarded it the TopTenREVIEWS Silver Award. There are essentially two approaches to creating smartphones. The first is for the manufacturer of the device hardware also to create the software. That methodology made BlackBerry

Other phone manufacturers have opted for collaboration with software developers for their operating systems – Windows Phone 7, Symbian and by far most notably, Android. There's extreme competition among smartphone makers to be the best at exploiting the ever-expanding capabilities of the Android OS, and the synergy of the Samsung Galaxy S III is impressive. The Galaxy S III comes with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, installed. Being at the top of the Android competition is no mean feat.
In an unusual distribution move, the Galaxy S III is available from all the giant wireless providers in the U.S. One of the phone's most significant performance features, 4G LTE, may well dictate your choice of carriers. Verizon Wireless has the most extensive 4G LTE coverage followed by AT&T that is adding markets rapidly. Iphone 4s
"What can a company be expected to offer next when its product is already the best-selling, most innovative smartphone among its competitors? That question has become obligatory whenever Apple debuts a new model of the wildly successful iPhone.
In the case of the Apple iPhone 4S, the answer is that you can expect many important upgrades and even some groundbreaking features. While there are always detractors who will hasten to point out what new smartphones don't offer, we found it easy to select the Apple iPhone 4S as our TopTenREVIEWS Bronze Award winner.
The iPhone 4S is the first Apple cell phone to be available from the three largest U.S. carriers, each of which has its own advantages and disadvantages. AT&T has the longest history with the iPhone, having been its exclusive carrier through the first three iterations of the device. With AT&T, you get a 3G data network that is typically America's fastest. The downside is that in some regions, that network can be somewhat less reliable than the Verizon Wireless 3G network. The data load created by the popularity of iPhones has sometimes overwhelmed the AT&T network, but the problem seems to have been largely resolved.
With Verizon Wireless, which already carries the iPhone 4, you arguably get the nation's largest and most reliable network. Though the two biggest carriers' speed and reliability claims echo each company's advertisements, research substantiates those claims. The effect of the popular device's availability on Sprint's network remains to be seen."
